USA TODAY April 9th 2009

A few minutes' drive away in the North Hill Preservation District at Noble Manor Bed & Breakfast, transplanted New Jersey residents Bonnie and Bob Robertson welcome guests in their 1905 Tudor Revival home with four nicely decorated rooms for rent (not a doily in sight). Draws include Bonnie's French toast with strawberries and kiwi on the side and a hot tub and pool in which to wind down after a day of sightseeing.

Though rates aren't cheap — starting at $125 now — business is surprisingly good in hard times, Bob, 59, says, pouring a cup of his perfectly brewed coffee in the high-ceilinged dining room. Pensacola is a big drive-in destination, and "people are not taking those Caribbean and Mexican vacations," he says.

Tourists from overseas also come to Pensacola, Bonnie, 55, says. "They're interested in the history, and we're kind of unspoiled Florida."

"Two Nights"

My wife and I stayed for two
nights and had a wonderful experience. Both days included a large
breakfast. We've stayed in about a dozen B&B's and would recommend
Noble Manor to others. It's convenient to all of the local amenities.

“Beautiful and tasteful b&b”

My husband and I chose Noble Manor from the Rough Guide USA as we were overnighting in Pensacola on route to New Orleans during our recent visit to the US from the UK. We both agree that it was an excellent choice and one of the very best b&b we have stayed in, either in the US or in Europe. The house is beautiful, immaculate and the rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Both the host and hostess were very welcoming and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. Our experience was so positive that we decided to stay again on our return trip from New Orleans. If we ever visit Pensacola again we will definitely stay at Noble Manor.

A little Taste of Heaven!

If Noble Manor is even a taste of what Heaven is like, then my boyfriend and I plan to stay on the path of righteousness!!!

We stayed in this Bed and Breakfast for a family reunion and it was simply
heavenly. Bonnie and Bob are the hosts and they made us (first timers
at a B&B) feel right at home. I could tell the rooms were cleaned
with love and each room told its own story. Noble Manor sits in the
company of other mansions nestled ever so quietly in a worry-free
environment. Everybody should visit Noble Manor at least once to
experience a little taste of Heaven! I promise you will get addicted!!!

Noble Manor is an Ideal Getaway

Bob & Bonnie have done a beautiful renovation on this grand home in
the heart of Pensacola's North Hill Historic District. The home is
conveniently located just a few blocks from downtown Pensacola and
there are antique stores to shop at just around the corner. It's a 15
minute drive to the beaches, if you want to get some sun and sand while
you're there. But you can just as easily relax and sun poolside at the
Noble Manor.

Bonnie prepares a fresh breakfast buffet each
morning and then whips up a special main course that is always
scrumptious. And Bob is just the most helpful and likeable guy you'll
ever want to meet. With housekeeper Tish's help, the Noble Manor is one
of the most charming, relaxing B&Bs you'll ever stay at. We've been
several times and are looking forward to our next visit.

Walk in comfort

This is one of the most wonderful bed and breakfasts I have ever stayed at. The rooms are decorated beautifully and the beds are very comfortable. It is hard to decide which room is the best because each one has a different personality to it. The breakfast is amazing. It is great after a hard day at work to relax in such a great setting. Bonnie and Bob are the perfect hosts. Rebekah
